One example includes having the player in the Hot Seat lie about an answer, giving other players an opportunity to then challenge that answer – points can then be won and added up. There are other variations you can play as well to spice up the game. The game is about getting more knowledge and insight into the people in the room – not starting debates or digging up traumatic memories. Avoid asking triggering questions or questions that may be too personal. Players can “pass” if they feel a question is too personal or inappropriate. After the time is up, rotate the player in the Hot Seat, and start again. Once the player is ready, start the timer and begin asking the questions in a rapid-fire fashion. Next, one player will set a timer for a predetermined amount of time – 2 to 3 minutes preferably. Decide which player will be the first to take a seat in the heat. To play, first find a type of chair or seat in the room to declare the “ Hot Seat”. Something to keep time (phone, watch, etc.). One chair, bench, stool, couch, whatever you deem the “Hot Seat”. Recommend playing with 5-10 friends, family members, neighbours, coworkers, whoever. Grab some friends, a chair, and let’s sweat out some truth with these Hot Seat questions. Hot Seat is designed for players to get to know each other even deeper by asking meaningful, hard-hitting questions in rapid succession. No matter how much you think you know someone, there’s always something to uncover. ![]()
